FAQs

Welcome to our FAQ page, where you’ll find answers to common questions about RG Education. Whether you’re curious about our tutoring services, subjects, enrollment process, or online learning options, this section provides quick and clear information. If you need further assistance, feel free to contact us anytime!

  1. When do you have classes?

We are open in the evening on weekdays, in the morning on weekends and holidays. Please check our hours on the posted calendar for the most up-to-date information on opening hours.

2. How often do classes occur?

In most cases, students will attend four classes per month (once a week per subject). However, depending on the learning plan created for your child, he/she could be recommended to take classes at least twice or thrice a week.

3. How much does each class cost?

Only after we complete an initial assessment/evaluation are we able to provide an accurate fee schedule for the student’s classes. Assessments are free of charge and an admission fee of $40 applies upon registration.

4. When can I register my child for classes?

Students are able to register for classes anytime during the school year. Appointment would be needed for assessment prior for admission.

5. What is the payment schedule like?

We offer flexible payment options - 2 months, 3 months,  5 months (full semester) or 10 months (full school year). Those who pay for more months in advance are eligible for bigger discounts.

6. Do I need to do an assessment before starting classes?

Yes, all registrations require an assessment, whether it is for academic or music classes. The assessment helps us to identify your child’s strengths and areas of improvement so that we can create a suitable learning plan once they begin classes at our learning centre.

7. Do you offer group classes? If so, what is the class ratio?

Yes, we offer group classes. Each group class can have up to 6 students with one teacher. This ratio allows our tutors to be more attentive to your child’s learning needs.

We also offer semi-private classes, which can have a maximum of 2-3 or 4 students per class, depending on your own arrangements or current availability.

8. Do you offer one-on-one classes?

We offer one-on-one classes for music. We can discuss a schedule and plan that best suits the student’s needs.

9. Are your classes in-person or virtual?

We offer classes in both in-person and online.

10. What qualifications do your teachers have?

Our learning center consists of tutors with a range of credentials, from undergrad students to teachers with a Masters or Phds in their specific subject area. Our well-experienced high school teachers always have at least a bachelor’s degree, and all of our undergrad students always have valuable tutoring experience to offer.

11. Are courses offered for credits?

Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) credits can be obtained for music classes. With completion of grade 7, you will get grade 11 credit. With completion of grade 8, you will obtain a grade 12 credit.
